I love working with people whose life feels a little messy right now. Maybe a lot messy. Relationships that aren't working, anxiety that won't quit, habits they can't shake, or just a general sense that something is off and they can't quite name it. I work with a lot of people. What they have in common is they're ready to do something about it, even if they're not sure where to start. That's enough. We'll figure out the rest together.
I think a lot of times what people need is a space is to talk and someone willing to listen. That's my goal. That's where I think the best work happens. That alone can lead to peace and healing in a way people never thought possible.
I just like helping people. That's all. I'm honored to be a part of the healing that takes place in people's lives, and if you're ready to start, I'd love to be a part of yours.
What to Expect:
If you're new to counseling, things start with a phone call. Give me a call and we'll chat about what's going and how I can help. If you decide to move forward, you'll get an email with a link to some paperwork. Similar to the kind of paperwork you'd fill out for a doctor's appointment, and you'll come in for your first session. The first session is an "Assessment" meant to gather more detailed information and create a plan to move forward. Then you'll move on to regular "Sessions." Each appointment lasts about an hour.
Cost
Your costs for counseling depend on the specifics of your insurance plan. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to ask about your cost for mental health services. I am "in-network" with Aetna, Anthem (Blue Cross Blue Shield), Cigna (Evernorth), and Medical Mutual, and a few others. Your costs could vary from $0 to $125. We won't know until you check your health insurance benefits. If you don't have insurance, the cost is $100 for the assessment and $75 for the following sessions.
